ACF 2025 – La Nueve, Lo Nuevo
Llega la novena edición del Asturias Contact Festival, y con ella, el eco del fin de un ciclo… y la vibración abierta de un nuevo portal.
Nueve.
Número de gestación.
Número de transición.
Número que cierra, y en ese cierre, prepara el salto.
Este año, ACF cambia de piel:
Nos mudamos a Tapia de Casariego, un precioso pueblo costero del occidente de Asturias, cerca de la frontera con Galicia.
Un lugar nuevo que nos recibe como una página en blanco.
Y en esa blancura, dibujamos juntos la danza.
La Nueve, Lo Nuevo.
Celebramos lo que fuimos.
Honramos cada paso recorrido.
Y al mismo tiempo, nos lanzamos hacia lo desconocido,
confiando en el cuerpo como brújula,
en la improvisación como lenguaje,
en el encuentro como práctica de vida.
Asturias Contact Festival es mucho más que un festival de contact improvisación.
Es una experiencia humana, viva, colectiva.
Un laboratorio expandido en el que usamos teatros, polideportivos, playas, calles y prados.
Donde cada persona elige cómo habitar el tiempo y el espacio.
Aquí, los horarios son una guía, no un corsé.
La responsabilidad, compartida.
La creatividad, desbordante.
En ACF no venimos solo a aprender,
venimos a transformarnos, a compartir, a exponernos, a crear.
Es un festival que nos mantiene despiertos,
que nos invita a tomar parte activa en su creación.
Y así, ACF 9 se abre como un umbral colectivo:
para dejar atrás lo que ya no nos sirve,
y hacer espacio para lo nuevo que quiere nacer.

ACF 2025 – The Nine, The New
The ninth edition of the Asturias Contact Festival arrives, and with it, the echo of a cycle closing… and the open vibration of a new portal.
Nine.
The number of gestation.
The number of transition.
A number that closes, and in that closure, prepares the leap.
This year, ACF sheds its skin:
We’re moving to Tapia de Casariego, a beautiful coastal village right near the boarder with Galicia.
A new place welcomes us like a blank page.
And on that whiteness, we draw the dance together.
The Nine, The New.
We celebrate what we’ve been.
We honor every step we’ve taken.
And at the same time, we leap into the unknown,
trusting the body as compass,
improvisation as language,
encounter as a way of life.
Asturias Contact Festival is much more than a contact improvisation festival.
It is a human, living, collective experience.
An expanded laboratory where we dance in theaters, sports halls, beaches, streets, and fields.
Where each person chooses how to inhabit time and space.
Here, schedules are guidance — not constraint.
Responsibility is shared.
Creativity, overflowing.
At ACF, we don’t just come to learn —
We come to transform, to share, to be seen, to create.
It’s a festival that keeps us awake,
that invites us to take active part in its unfolding.
And so, ACF 9 opens as a collective threshold:
to let go of what no longer serves,
and make space for what is ready to be born.
